OHSPRA has announced a full-scale sponsorship plan available to businesses and organizations looking to support education in Ohio and to reach out to leaders in school marketing and public relations.  The sponsorships are for OHSPRA's Annual Spring Conference and Achievement Awards Luncheon.

Crystal Kendrick named new Executive Director

OHSPRA has named Crystal L. Kendrick as the new Executive Director of the Ohio chapter. 
Kendrick is the President of The Voice of Your Customer, a certified minority owned marketing consulting firm that assists organizations to create exceptional client experiences through the intelligent use of research and assessments, program compliance and audits, business training and media campaigns. Kendrick holds a BBA from Temple (PA) University and an MBA from Northern Kentucky University.

NSPRA/Ohio becomes OHSPRA

After numerous discussions and following input and suggestions from members, the decision has been made to change the name of our organization from the National School Public Relations Association, Ohio Chapter (NSPRA/Ohio) to the Ohio School Public Relations Association (OHSPRA.) This change brings us more in-line with what the majority of chapters use in terms of a name to distinguish their state organizations from the national organization.  [...click for more]

OHSPRA awarded with NSPRA Mark of Distinction Award

The Ohio School Public Relations Association received recognition from the National School Public Relations Association at the 2010 National Seminar in Charlotte, NC, as an Exemplary Chapter.
OHSPRA was awarded in the Professional Development/PR Skill-Building category in the 2010 Mark of Distinction Chapter Recognitions and was the only chapter with 50% or more national members to be honored in the category. "On behalf of our organization, I want to extend a sincere THANK YOU to Patti Koslo, past president, for her tireless leadership and for her absolute commitment to OHSPRA.

NSPRA/Ohio recognizes School Communicators with Achievement Awards

NSPRA/Ohio presented 79 Achievement Awards recognizing exemplary school public relations plans, practices, and projects during the organization’s annual Spring Conference, March 18 – 19. This year, contest categories were expanded to better serve NSPRA/Ohio members. The award categories include: writing, websites, video media, PR plans, print newsletters, special purpose publications, electronic publication photography, print publication photography, and e-newsletters.
